This past Saturday, January 17, 2026, our Lawrence County community showed up in full support for the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Lottie’s Sips and Sweets , coffee shop and bakery, owned by Carlotta Kempa, at 141 South Market Street in New Wilmington, nestled between New Wilmington Nutrition and Core Movement Pilates. If you were at our Christmas party in December, you definitely remember their incredible assortment of gourmet cookies!

It's clear how much heart Carlotta has poured into this space. We loved how the coffee mugs were hung from balloons framing their grand opening sign! Friends, family, community leaders, and supporters packed the sidewalk and filled the shop to the brim to help mark this milestone.

We were glad to see so many familiar faces in attendance, including Lawrence County Commissioners Chris Sainato and Dan Kennedy, Debbie Kennedy from PA State Rep. Marla Brown's office, Ginny Jacob Colella from Visit Lawrence County, New Wilmington Borough Mayor Sherri Babb, and members of the New Wilmington Area Business Association.

Lottie’s Sips and Sweets is also a stop on Visit Lawrence County’s Coffee Club Trail, giving even more reason to stop in and stamp your Coffee Passport!
